Getting started with Investments only takes a few steps. To begin investing through Finom, you'll first need to open an investment account. Once your account is active, you can make investments, monitor your portfolio, access your investment documents, and sell your assets whenever you need to.
Open your investment account
To open an investment account:
Click on the Investments widget in the Finom app or web version (under the balance widget).
Complete the onboarding process.
Provide all required information.
Review and accept the applicable legal documents.
Once you've completed these steps, your investment account will become active and you'll be ready to start investing.
Information you may need to provide
Because Investments is a regulated financial product, we're required to collect certain information before you can open an investment account.
During onboarding, you may be asked to provide:
Tax Identification Number (TIN)
Legal Entity Identifier (LEI)
FATCA confirmation
Make your first investment
Once your investment account is active, making your first investment is simple:
Choose the investment product you'd like to purchase and select Buy.
Enter the amount you'd like to invest.
Review the order details.
Confirm your order.
Your order will then be submitted for execution. The investment amount will be transferred from your selected wallet, and your investment will appear in your portfolio once the order has been processed.
Please note that processing times may vary depending on the investment product.
Manage your portfolio
Your investment portfolio gives you a complete overview of your investments in one place, making it easy to monitor their performance alongside the rest of your business finances.
From your portfolio, you can view:
Your current holdings
Portfolio value
Historical performance
Recent transactions
Available reports and documents
Access reports and documents
Your investment account includes access to documents related to your portfolio and transactions.
Currently, you can access:
Order confirmations
Portfolio statements
We'll also introduce the following reports in a future release:
Cost and charges reports
Profit and loss (P&L) reports
Sell an investment
If you'd like to access your invested funds, you can sell part or all of an investment directly from your portfolio.
Once the sale has been completed and settlement has taken place, the proceeds will be transferred back to your selected wallet.
