Finom navigation and dashboard overview

Written by Elena

Your Finom dashboard is built around your daily financial routine, so everything you need is only a click or two away. Here's a tour of the web version, screen by screen.

The menu on the left

Your whole account lives in the menu down the left-hand side. It stays with you on every main screen.

The side menu stays with you wherever you are.

At the top of the menu you'll find:

  • Company menu — switch between your companies, and jump straight to the settings you visit most: Profile, Plan and limits, Goods & Services, Integrations and Special offers.

  • The “+” (Create) button — your shortcut to everything you can create, grouped into Payments, Get paid, Wallets, and Upload & Export.

Everything you can create, is in one place.

The left-side menu below your company name is organized into sections:

  • Home — where you land when you sign in.

  • Accounts — the complete list of your wallets and connected banks. Each wallet shows its name with the IBAN just underneath and the balance on the right. Closed wallets stay tucked away until you select “Show closed wallets”.

  • Expenses — collect, organize and reconcile the paperwork behind your business spending.

  • Get paid — create and manage your invoices, quotes and delivery notes.

  • Cards — view and manage your physical and virtual cards.

  • Accounting — opens up into Bookkeeping records, Report calendar, and Taxes (subject to availability).

  • Documents — every file you've uploaded, in one place.

  • Team — manage the people who have access to your account.

  • Settings — switches the menu into settings mode, where you'll also find Integrations and Cashback.

And right at the bottom:

  • Invite friends — your referral program.

  • Get help — opens a short menu with two options: Help center opens our knowledge base in a new tab, and Contact us opens a chat with our team.

The menu items you see depend on your role. Team members have different permissions, so not everyone will have access to the same actions.

Finom AI chat

Finom AI sits in its own column on the right of the screen and is available from every main screen. On narrower windows, it becomes a floating panel over your content, tucked into an “Ask AI…” button — press Ctrl+I or click it to open the chat.

You can choose how the chat sits on your screen:

  • Sidebar — docked in its own column to the right of your content.

  • Floating — the panel hovers over your content.

  • Full screen — the chat fills the content area, with the side menu staying put.

  • Collapse — the panel tucks away, leaving a compact chat button on the right.

On narrow windows, Sidebar switches to Floating automatically and becomes available again as soon as there's room for it.

Home

Home gives you the state of your account at a glance. What you see there reflects where your account is:

  • Account not open yet — you'll see the progress of your account opening, so you always know what's outstanding.

  • Account just opened — an activation widget, plus a starter view of Balance and Cards with your main wallet and one virtual card.

  • Fully active account — the complete layout described below.

On an active account, Home reads from top to bottom like this:

  • Any notifications or messages that need your attention — for example, if a profile detail needs a quick update or we need some information from you.

  • A welcome message with your quick actions.

  • Balance and Cards, side by side.

  • A promo banner, when there's an offer running.

  • Your transactions.

Home: quick actions

Just under the welcome message sits a row of buttons for the things you do most often:

  • Add money — pick a top-up method, or view your account details.

  • Send transfer — choose the payment type you want to make.

  • Upload bill — start uploading a file straight away.

  • Get statement — open and download your bank statements or export documents.

The actions you see depend on your role and the state of your account.

Home: the Balance widget

The Balance widget shows your total balance across all of your wallets.

  • Your main wallet's IBAN appears right under its name. Hover over it to see a copy icon. Click to copy it; a checkmark confirms it's on your clipboard.

  • The widget previews up to three wallets. If you've connected external banks, your wallets are grouped under each bank, with a prompt to reconnect if a connection needs refreshing.

  • If you have an Interest wallet, it appears in its own section below.

  • “All wallets” button takes you to the “Accounts” screen for the full picture of your wallets and banks.

  • Hiding your balance with the eye icon blurs only the total — your IBAN and wallet names stay readable.

Home: the Cards widget

Sitting to the right of Balance, the Cards widget shows every card on your account along with your cashback details. You can move your cashback to your main wallet using the option just below the card list.

Home: transactions

Your full transactions panel — the chart, the filters, and both planned and past transactions — sits on Home, just below Balance and Cards.

Get paid

Get paid brings together all of your invoices, quotes, and delivery notes.

From here you can create invoices and upload or export documents. Goods & Services is where you keep the list of products and services you offer, and Import data to Finom lets you bring in your client database.

Team

Team is where you manage everyone with access to your Finom account.

From this section you can:

  • Invite someone new with Invite new team member.

  • See all active team members and the roles they hold.

  • Track invitation statuses and resend an invitation that's still pending.

Click on a team member to open their profile, where you'll find their transaction history and the cards available to them.

In the Settings tab of their profile you can switch off a team member's access, and remove them from the company if you need to.

Cards

Cards is home to every payment card linked to your Finom account. You can order new cards, look through your own and your team's cards, check their status, keep an eye on spending limits, and filter by type, status or wallet.

Click any card to open its page and see its details and settings.

Accounting

Accounting expands to reveal three areas: Bookkeeping records, Report calendar and Taxes.

Accounting availability is subject to the country of your business registration.

Expenses

Expenses keeps all the paperwork behind your outgoing business spending together in one place, ready to be matched with your transactions.

In this section, you can:

  • Upload and store expense documents such as invoices, receipts and bills, either from the Uploaded files area or through the Upload document widget.

  • Forward documents by email. You have your own Finom email address for this — you'll find it under Email to collect in the “+” menu.

  • Review documents waiting to be matched with transactions in the Documents to match tab.

  • Check what's already matched in the Matched tab, so you know your records are complete.

  • Revisit any uploaded document in Uploaded files if something in the automatic recognition needs correcting.

Documents

Documents holds every expense document you've uploaded. You can open any of them to check or adjust what was picked up by automatic recognition, and you can turn that automatic recognition on or off for the documents you upload.

Settings: Integrations

Integrations is where you connect Finom to the accounting and business tools you already use, so your financial data flows between them without manual work.

From this section, you can:

  • Browse and manage the integrations available to you, straight from your Finom account.

  • Connect supported accounting software so your financial data is shared automatically between Finom and your accounting system.

Settings: Cashback

Cashback is where you track and redeem the cashback you've earned on eligible card purchases. You can check your available cashback balance, follow your progress towards earning limits, and see how much you've collected in the current reward period.
