What is iDEAL?
iDEAL is a fast and secure online payment method widely used in the Netherlands. With iDEAL, you can pay merchants directly from your Finom business account.

Who can pay via iDEAL?
iDEAL payments are available only for Finom customers with a Dutch (NL) IBAN. Only the Owner and Manager can sign the payment.
How to initiate an iDEAL payment
From a web browser:
At checkout on online shop, select iDEAL as payment method.
Open your Finom mobile app and click on the “GO” button in the centre of the screen. Choose the QR code button to scan the QR code.
Scan the iDEAL QR code shown on the screen.
The confirmation screen will be displayed in your mobile application.
💡 iDEAL payment confirmation can be done only from your Finom mobile application, it is not possible to confirm this payment in any other way.
From a mobile browser:
At checkout on online shop, select iDEAL as payment method.
Choose Finom from the list of Issuers.
You will be automatically redirected to your Finom mobile app to confirm the payment.
How to confirm the payment
On the confirmation screen you can choose the company or wallet if you have several.
Tap Confirm to sign the payment.
The signing process is the same as for a SEPA payment. Once completed, a success screen will be displayed.
The transaction will immediately appear in your transactions list.You can find the remittance information on the Description field on the transaction page.
Note: Once confirmed, an iDEAL transaction cannot be cancelled or recalled. For refunds, you need to contact the merchant directly.
