What is an iDEAL profile?
An iDEAL profile is a feature that saves your bank account and personal details to streamline online purchases, allowing faster and easier checkout without re-entering information each time you buy from a participating online store.
An iDEAL profile is optional, but helps make payments smoother and faster.

What are the benefits of having a profile?
iDEAL Fast Payment (Snel Betalen)
If you save your bank account in your iDEAL profile, you don’t need to select a bank each time. When you pay, your bank sends a push notification so you can confirm the payment directly in your banking app.
iDEAL Fast Checkout (Snel bestellen)
If you save your address and contact details in your iDEAL profile, you don’t need to enter them each time. After a payment, iDEAL shares this information with the webshop so your order can be completed faster. This feature is only available at participating shops – look for the iDEAL Checkout (Snel bestellen) button.

Who can create an iDEAL profile?
iDEAL profile registration and management are available only for customers with a Dutch (NL) IBAN. Only an Owner and Manager can create a profile.
The profile belongs to a user, not to a company or a bank account.
💡When creating an iDEAL profile, you enter an agreement with Currence iDEAL B.V., iDEAL's owner. Personal data is shared only when necessary for purposes like fraud prevention or security, and only with the user’s prior consent. Currence iDEAL B.V. guarantees secure data handling by its partners.
How to create an iDEAL profile
From Finom Web version
From your main dashboard, click on the name of your company, go to Integrations and select iDEAL.
Click Set up profile.
3. Choose the wallets you want to link and click Continue (you will be automatically redirected to iDEAL to finish your profile registration).
4. Click Continue to complete the registration on the iDEAL side.
5. Fill in your name and email.
6. Fill in a confirmation code to confirm your email.
7. Once your email is confirmed, click Continue to add a delivery address for iDEAL Checkout (Snel bestellen) or you can skip this step.
8. Add your delivery address.
9. Your iDEAL profile is created.
From Finom mobile app
In the Finom app, go to More -> Integrations.
Click Set up profile.
Click Link wallets.
Choose the wallets you want to link and click Continue.
Click Open iDEAL page or wait until you will be automatically redirected to iDEAL to finish your profile registration.
Click Continue to complete the registration on the iDEAL side.
Fill in your name and email.
Fill in a confirmation code to confirm your email.
Once your email is confirmed, click Next to add a delivery address for iDEAL Checkout (Snel bestellen) or you can skip this step.
Add your delivery address.
Your iDEAL profile is created.
How to manage your iDEAL profile
After registration, the button Set up profile will change to Manage profile.
When you click on this button, you will be redirected to your iDEAL profile, where you can edit your data or delete your profile if needed.
