Receiving international payments to your Finom account is simple, but there are a few important steps to make sure your transfers arrive correctly. This article explains how to find and share the right account details with your client, how different currencies are processed, and what happens once the funds reach your account.
Find and share your account details
To receive a SWIFT transfer, you need to provide your client or sender with your IBAN, BIC, and account holder details.
Use your account details with GB IBAN to receive SWIFT transfers.
Please make sure you share the correct details; otherwise, the transfer will be rejected and returned to the sender.
International SWIFT account details are the same for all currencies.
Where to find your details in Finom
1. Log in to your Finom account.
2. From your main dashboard, click on the Main wallet.
3. Go to the Details section. You can find here the details of your local IBAN to receive payments inside EU/EEA countries, as well as your international GB IBAN to receive payments from outside of EU/EEA.
4. You have two options: either to “Copy details” or you can download a PDF file with all details, including the data of correspondent banks.
5. Share these details or the document with your client/sender.
💡 Tip: Each supported currency has its own sub-wallet, but all of them use the same International GB IBAN for receiving transfers.
How transfers in different currencies are received
EUR transfers: Incoming SWIFT transfers in euros go directly to your Main wallet. This means funds are immediately available without needing an extra transfer.
Other currencies: If the currency is supported by Finom, the funds are received into a wallet for that currency.
You can find out list of supported currencies here.If it’s the first time you receive this currency, a new wallet is automatically created for you.
The wallet will remain available for future use.
Using the Funds After They Arrive
EUR funds: Received in your International EUR wallet. To use them for SEPA transfers or card payments, move them to your Main EUR wallet with local IBAN.
Other currencies: You can either:
Keep the funds in their currency wallet,
Exchange them into euros, or
Exchange them into another supported currency for future use.
Following these steps ensures your incoming international payments arrive safely and are available for use in the right wallet.
