The Interest Wallet helps you make your idle business funds work smarter: earning interest while staying accessible for your daily operations.

It’s designed for businesses that want to preserve short-term liquidity and generate stable, low-risk returns without locking money into long-term deposits.

What is the Interest Wallet?

The Interest Wallet allows you to earn fixed interest on your idle funds while keeping them flexible and accessible. You can:

  • Earn interest daily

  • Add funds at any time

  • Withdraw funds when needed

  • Avoid long-term lock-ins

It’s ideal for:

  • Tax reserves

  • Payroll buffers

  • Surplus operational cash

Instead of sitting idle, your money generates a steady return in the background.

Key features

  • Interest rate: Up to 1.75% p.a., depending on your plan and market conditions

  • Interest accrual is calculated annually and added to your balance daily

  • Access to funds: You can withdraw anytime
Please note: In some cases, withdrawals may take up to 3 business days

  • Fees: No minimum deposit, no setup or withdrawal fees

  • Limit: One Interest Wallet per account

Rates may be adjusted in line with market conditions or at Aksys Global Markets’ discretion. If changes occur, you’ll be informed in advance.

Who provides the Interest Wallet?

The Interest Wallet is provided in partnership with Aksys Global Markets Europe LTD, a fully regulated EU MiFID II licensed financial institution authorized and regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC). To prioritise safety and liquidity, funds are allocated to low-risk Qualified Money Market Funds*.

You can check the client agreement here.

What is a QMMF?

A QMMF (Qualified Money Market Fund) is a low-volatility instrument made up of high-quality EU public debt, designed for maximum liquidity and minimal risk.

These funds are professionally managed to prioritize stability and capital preservation. While considered one of the lowest-risk options available, they still carry a small level of market risk.

How the Interest Wallet differs from other products

The Interest Wallet is designed for flexibility and capital efficiency, and it differs from traditional deposits and investment products.

  • It is not a traditional fixed-term deposit.
There is no lock-up period. You can withdraw your funds at any time. While withdrawals are usually instant, in certain circumstances, they may take up to three business days.

  • It is not an active investment product.
The goal is not to generate high returns through market performance, but to provide stable, low-risk growth on idle funds.

  • It does not guarantee a long-term fixed rate.
Interest rates may change over time at the discretion of Aksys Global Markets. If adjustments occur, you will be informed in advance.

Who is the Interest Wallet for?

The Interest Wallet is ideal for businesses and freelancers who:

  • Hold operational liquidity

  • Maintain short-term cash buffers

  • Prefer flexibility over fixed-term deposits

It may not be suitable for businesses that:

  • Require guaranteed deposit protection

  • Are looking for high-risk, high-return market investments

Who is eligible?

To open an Interest Wallet, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Have an active Finom business account for a freelancer/company registered in EEA

  • Meet all compliance and verification requirements, including identity verification for all beneficiaries

  • Meet the regulatory requirements set by our licensed partner, Aksys

How does it work?

1. Transfer idle funds

Move your surplus cash to your Interest Wallet via a Between wallet transfer in your Finom Business account.

2. Start earning interest

Funds begin generating interest after the first full business day in the wallet.

3. Track and manage

You can monitor your Interest Wallet in the Finom app, top up your balance, or withdraw funds at any time — with no fees.

What are the risks?

The Interest Wallet is designed as a low-risk liquidity solution, but it is not completely risk-free.

Potential risks include:

  • Interest rates may decrease

  • Regulatory changes could affect terms or operations

  • Access to funds may be temporarily restricted in certain compliance situations

As with all investment-related products, a small level of market risk remains.

Taxation

Interest earned in the Interest Wallet may be subject to taxation according to your local laws, depending on your business’s country of residence and legal structure.

Please note:

  • Neither Finom nor Aksys Global Markets provide investment or tax advice

  • Taxes are not withheld from the Interest Wallet

  • Finom does not prepare tax returns on your behalf

  • Interest displayed in the app is shown before taxes unless otherwise specified

You are responsible for understanding and complying with your tax obligations. We recommend consulting your tax advisor.
