According to the regulations, an e-invoice is a file that should be created in an XML format. But what does it mean?

An "XML", or eXtensible Markup Language, is a particular file type that has the function of containing many different types of data which can be used or read only by specific software.

With Finom, you can create and send e-invoices in XML formats without the need of any advanced technical skills, or downloading any software to your computer. Furthermore, you will always be able to download the e-invoice as XML or as PDF, depending on your needs.
