How to create a new wallet?

With your Finom account, you can create new wallets both with local IBANs (DE/FR/NL/IT/ES) and with your international GB or DK IBANs.

To create a new wallet and transfer money, you only need to follow a few simple steps.

From your main dashboard, you can have 2 options to create a wallet:

  • Click on “Go” button and choose “Create wallet”.

  • Under the widget balance, click on “New wallet or currency”.

From this step, you have a choice of creating either a wallet with a local IBAN or an international IBAN (DK or GB).

Choose the euro as a currency when presented with a choice.

Next, you will be asked to enter a name for the new wallet. Once entered, click on the "Continue" button to proceed.

You will be asked to manage the wallet access and to choose what team members (if any) have access to the wallet. When done, click on “Create wallet”.

To confirm the creation of your new wallet, you will receive a code in your mobile app or by SMS.

Your new wallet has now been created. You can copy or download the details from the page, or click on “Go to wallet page” for details or to adjust wallet settings.

Choose any foreign currency when presented with a choice. The wallet will be named after the currency you have chosen.

To confirm the creation of your new wallet, you will receive a code in your mobile app or by SMS.
