Have you received a SEPA Business-to-Business (B2B) Direct Debit mandate from an institution, but have no idea how to set it up in your FINOM account?

In this short guide, we will explain how!

In order to authorise the SEPA Direct Debit mandate, you must first register it.

To do this, please find the 3-dot button as shown in the screenshot below. This is located on every FINOM active wallet page. Click on it and select the “Add new Direct Debit” option.

Once selected, you will be redirected to the “New Direct Debit” page. Once there, provide all the required information and documents to register the mandate.

Upload your mandate the same way you uploaded the documents during your account registration process.

Choose the correct creditor from the list of organisations, or manually add your creditor’s details if they are not present in the list.

Add your details:

  • Unique Mandate Reference (RUM): contains Latin characters and numbers (input your RUM as written on your document, our system identifies spaces as characters)

  • Creditor SEPA Identifier (ICS): contains a maximum of 20 Latin characters, (input your ICS as written on your document, our system identifies spaces as characters)

  • Direct Debit type (one-time or recurring): by default, no type is selected

  • Your wallet for SEPA Direct Debit: choose the wallet you plan to use if you have more than one wallet

Once done, click on the “Register mandate” button and you will see a pop-up window asking for the validation of your details.

To validate your details, enter a confirmation code. Depending on your chosen method, you can either receive it via SMS or mobile App push notification (for this option, you should have the FINOM mobile App installed on your iOS or Android device).

Once your details are successfully confirmed, your mandate will be registered and you will see the following message:

Congratulations! You have now registered your first SEPA Direct Debit Mandate!

If you want to view all your registered mandates or amend/cancel them, you can!

Simply click on “View all Direct Debits” as shown below (please note, that this option is only visible if you have at least one registered mandate).

This will bring you to the list of all mandates ever registered for your company in Finom. Click on the desired mandate to check its details:

From this same screen you can change the mandate details (Name of creditor, RUM, ICS, type) and then apply these changes. You can even delete the mandate if you wish, which will cancel the authorisation you previously gave this creditor to debit your account.
