If you want to receive the payments of your invoices on PayPal, you can now add your PayPal link to any invoices you create with FINOM and easily collect your money directly from your PayPal account.

In this article, we will explain to you how to add your PayPal link to your invoices.

Firstly, from your main dashboard click on “New Document”, and then select “Invoice” for the type of document you want to create.

Once you are in the invoice form, fill in all the data as usual. Now, on the bottom left of the form you’ll see a new option “Add PayPal.me link”. Click on it to add the link.

Here you will need to add your personal link. If you don’t have a link yet, click on the i sign next to “How to get the link” - you will be redirected to this page to create your link: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/.

Basically, what you’ll have to do is type - right after “paypal.me/” the account name you’ve chosen for your personal link.

Once you’ve added your link, you can also decide if you want to display the QR code thatwill be displayed on your invoice page to fasten the payment process.

Tick the box if you want to add the QR code, otherwise, leave it blank.

To save the link, all you have to do is save the invoice as usual. Once the invoice is saved, you’ll see your PayPal details displayed bottom left. Your invoice is now ready to be sent.

How do my clients pay invoices with PayPal?

When your client gets an invoice, they will see “Pay with PayPal” appear as a blue button in the top right. To initiate the payment, your client will have to click on it or scan the QR code directly from the invoice.

A window will appear and your client can then use their phone to scan the QR code or click on the link to get to the payment page.

The client should now be redirected to a page where the payment details are already shown. Here, the client can click on “Send” to finalise the payment.

Great! Your invoice was paid via PayPal 🎉

The client can also manually mark that they have paid the invoice by clicking on the “I’ve already paid” button and selecting “PayPal” as the payment type . The status of the invoice will be immediately updated on your dashboard.

Please note: if for any reason you wish to remove your PayPal link from the invoice, you can do so at any time. All you need to do is edit the invoice creation form and remove your personal link from there. Once the invoice is saved, the details will no longer be displayed.
