Although the business account is for the company and will be operated under the company name, only the legal representative (a person) can be listed as the owner of the account.

A legal representative is a person who acts on behalf of others in a legally binding way based on the provisions of the law.

As a rule, the legal representative is stated in the foundation documents.

If you are not sure who in your company is the legal representative, you can contact your notary for further clarification.

Important notes:

  • We do not support joint representation.

Only one person can be designated as the account owner. The other partners may be invited to manage the account once it has been opened. In this article, we have explained in detail how to do this.

  • A procurator is not equivalent to a legal representative.

Procurators cannot open an account for a company and be the account owner.
