Starting from 31st July 202, all Finom customers that use electronic invoicing will be required to access with their SPID (Sistema Pubblico di Identità Digitale) credentials in order to continue using the service.
This is a mandatory requirement of our partner Documi who are responsible for the transferring and conservation of e-invoices. After the 31st of July you will not be able to send electronic documents unless you are authorised with SPID.
SPID is a digital identity system that allows you to access online services provided by the government, public administrations, and private companies. It provides you with credentials that work across multiple platforms.
If you already have SPID access, please skip to the section “How to access with my SPID credentials to keep using e-invoicing?”.
If you don’t have SPID access currently then don’t worry, getting SPID credentials is easy. Here are some tips on how you can get set up:
How to get SPID access
First of all, choose an authorised service provider that offers SPID access. You can find a list of authorised service providers on the SPID website. Choose the provider that allows you to complete the registration process in the easiest way for you. All issued credentials have the same validity.
Then you will have to confirm your identity, and there are several options of how to do this:
Online: The easiest and most convenient way is to confirm your identity using a webcam with your documents. Some providers might request you to pay a symbolic sum by bank transfer for this service.
Visit a post office: Another easy way to get SPID access is to visit a post office. You can go to any post office in Italy and apply for SPID in person. The post office staff will help you to complete the application process and provide you with all the necessary information.
Use your electronic ID: If you have an electronic identity card (Carta d'Identità Elettronica) or an electronic passport, you can use it in the apps of digital identity providers available on smartphones or tablets.
What documents do I need to get SPID access?
You will need the following documents:
A valid Italian document (Identity Card, driving licence, passport);
Your health card (Tessera Sanitaria)
Your email address and mobile number.
If you still have questions, you can find more detailed information on the SPID website or you can ask a provider of your choice to support you.
